Technical
-Specifies, designs, implements, tests, and maintains platform-independent, complex software system components such as high-end multiprocessing client-server relational database product components.
-Duties involve working on, or integrating with, emerging Internet technologies and components, applications, and transaction servers, as well as RDBMS internals (such as query processing, access methods internals, transaction management, database administration internals, process management, and networking), SQL programming, C/C++/Java programming (including data structures), debugging tools, software management utilities and tools, networking in Unix or NT environments, process synchronization, and development and delivery of new features.
-Works under general supervision and/or with a team on assigned tasks and/or projects of moderate complexity. Designs and implements algorithms for assigned tasks. Develops quality software to general specification. Executes development assignments to include design of conceptual approach, coding and debugging. Assists in designing software systems detailed specifications. Determines the time estimates and work plan necessary to achieve the goals for building, testing and maintaining the product.

Executes the work plan, providing intermediate progress and exception reports to appropriate managers and project leaders. Achieves the committed results within the time frame, functionality, performance and quality objectives established for the project.
